Safety & Guidelines

While launching/retrieving a boat and while on the water all members shall wear suitable buoyancy aids at all times. It should be noted that wetsuits and dry suits by themselves do not count as suitable personal buoyancy. Suitable clothing and footwear must be worn at all times whilst on the water. This must be appropriate not only to the activity but to the sailing conditions. Non-slip footwear is recommended. The wearing of an adequate wet or dry suit is recommended to all members at all times while afloat. A manned rescue boat must be on duty for all club organised sailing activities. Sailing without rescue cover is discouraged. Those who do so, sail at their own risk.
